Visit this elegant, castle with its splendid stucco decorations and hidden garden. All visits are with the owner who brings the 18th Century vividly to life as you stroll through beautifully furnished rooms full of fascinating objets d’art and curiosities.

CHÂTEAU D'ARNAJON
​
One of the most remarkable examples of a bastide garden in Provence, with strong Florentine influences. Water plays a major role with fountains flowing into an ornamental lake which reflects the silhouette of the château.
You can see an extraordinary nymphée, walk in the cactus garden, visit the orangerie and a recently restored winter garden.

LE GRAND PRÉ
​
Open to the public for the first time in 400 years, the Château du Grand Pré in Vitrolles en Luberon is rising from its ashes. Sumptuously decorated with gypsum decorative panels, this château is the symbol of aristocratic refinement in XVII and XVII century Provence.
It is a rare privilege to visit an historic building during its resurrection. Visitors will be able to observe the major works currently in progress to restore the edifice and its gardens to their past splendour. Warning! You may be asked to wear protective headgear during your visit.

CHÂTEAU DE LOURMARIN :
The first Renaissance château in Provence

Situated in one of the « most beautiful villages » in France, the château comprises two distinct parts : the medieval edifice with its charming Italian style loggia and Library, and the 16th Century Renaissance wing. Renown for its elegant double spiral staircase, the castle is furnished throughout with a fine collection of engravings and objets d’art.

The “Underground Cathedral »

The château was built on a rocky hill in the XII and XIII centuries. In the XVIII century a 20 acres park in the French style was created. In order to water the newly planted trees in the park and to supply enough water for an Italian style garden, an enormous water cistern was built. It could contain 28.000 hectolitres of water.
The 6 meters high vaults are supported by 20 pillars covering a 550 m2 area, which means visitors feel they are in an underground cathedral. In the XVIII century this was the largest cistern in Europe.

The little Trianon of Provence
​
This elegant 18th Century building was the home of the last friend of Marie Antoinette. Negleted during the 19th Century it was brought back to life in a spectacular way by its current owners. The castle is superbly furnished and its gardens are classified as « remarkable ».
